THE FALL star Gerard McCarthy has joined the cast of BBC Four’s upcoming six-part comedy series Puppy Love.
The Northern Irish actor, most popularly known for his role in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, will make a guest appearance in one episode alongside Tobias Menzies (Outlander).
He will play Damon Peachey while Menzies has been cast as Alexander in the comedy series, directed by Susan Tully that tells the story of Nany V and the dog training classes she runs in Wirral.
McCarthy currently stars as Kevin McSwain in BBC 2's The Fall starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Gillian Anderson and Irish actor Jamie Dornan, who is nominated alongside the hit show for this weekend’s BAFTA TV awards.
Irish writer Graham Linehan has received a double nomination for The It Crowd and Count Arthur Strong.
