DOLORES O’RIORDAN’S mother has paid tribute to the late leader singer of The Cranberries ahead of the release of the band’s final album.
Eileen O’Riordan was unlisted to unveil the artwork and track listing for In The End, which will be The Cranberries eighth and final album.
“I can’t think of a more fitting way to commemorate the first anniversary of Dolores’ passing and to celebrate her life than to announce to the world the release of her final album with the band," Eileen said.
It comes 30 years after the group, originally consisting of Mike Hogan, Noel Hogan, Fergal Lawler and Niall Quinn first formed in Limerick.
Originally performing under the name The Cranberry Saw Us, the group’s fortunes changed for the better when lead vocalist Quinn left the band and was replaced with O’Riordan.
Three decades of global success followed with In The End set to bring down the curtain on the incredible story of an Irish band who will live on thanks to songs like Linger, Dreams and Zombie.
The new 11-track album has been produced by Stephen Street with All Over Now set to serve as the leader single off the new LP.
The album’s cover art meanwhile depicts a group of children, in place of The Cranberries, to highlight their incredible journey from young emerging musicians to wise old heads of the industry.
A catchy blend of alternative rock sensibilities and pop melodies, it’s everything fans have come to know and love about The Cranberries.
Featuring vocals recorded by O’Riordan prior to her tragic death, The Cranberries In The End is set to be released on April 26th.
