Thai Tims have written the sweetest song about the Olympic medal winning O'Donovan brothers

A CLASS of Thai schoolchildren have written and performed a heart-warming song to celebrate the achievements of the Olympic rowing medal winners Gary and Paul O'Donovan

The Thai Tims, taught by Irishman Paul Lennon in the province of Chantaburi, have made headlines with their song about the Irish national football team in the past.

The O'Donovan brothers, who won a silver medal for Ireland at Rio 2016,  have been the talk of social media with their laid-back attitude in post-race interviews and a stunning final performance in the lightweight men’s double skulls.

Last Friday, the duo proudly picked up Ireland's first ever medal in rowing, as well as the first and only Irish medal at Rio 2016 so far.

The tune, which is entitled Pull Like A Dog, celebrates the now-famous catchphrase coined by Paul O'Donovan after he was asked about their winning strategy on television. It's not that complicated, stated O'Donovan, just "close your eyes and pull like a dog."

Despite only taking silver, the O'Donovan brothers have become the golden boys of the Olympics for the Irish- elsewhere there has been little to cheer about with poor results in boxing, equestrian and athletics.
