Singing, puppets and hoops: Rose of Tralee TV highlights you have to see

THE TELEVISED portion of the Rose of Tralee International Festival kicked off last night on RTÉ - and this year's Roses did not disappoint.

From boxing, to yoga and singing in Mandarin, Roses from across the world showed off their talents for host Daithí Ó Sé and the judges in front of a live televised audience.

The winner of this year's Festival will be announced later tonight.

With that in mind, here are five moments from last night's broadcast that you'll definitely want to see.

The first ever Hong Kong Rose singing Danny Boy in Mandarin...

Host Daithí Ó Sé forever immortalised in puppet-form by Westmeath Rose Eva...

Donegal Rose Mimi Callaghan and her aerial hooping - while wearing her county jersey.

In a first for the Rose of Tralee - a limbo, on stage, by the Toronto Rose.

London Rose Caoimhe singing a Carrickfergus - Nancy Mulligan - Galway Girl mash up on the piano.
