SINÉAD O'CONNOR has shared a brilliant throwback snap with some famous faces as she prepares to release her memoir.
The Irish singer, 54, skyrocketed to fame in the 1990's following the release of her worldwide smash-hit Nothing Compares 2 U; her new memoir, Rememberings, details her life from her birth and childhood in Dublin to her almost-overnight fame, the now-infamous SNL performance, her family, love of music and her ongoing spiritual journey.
O'Connor has had a full, colourful and exciting life, and her memoir is eagerly anticipated by fans across Ireland and beyond-- and as the 1 June release date approaches, the musician has been active on social media, sharing stories and photographs about her life.
On Monday, the singer posted a brilliant throwback picture which encompasses the 1990's alternative music scene: O'Connor, with her trademark buzzcut, Courtney Love of the band Hole, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana and the couple's then-one-year-old daughter, Frances Bean.
The snap was taken in September 1993, at the MTV Video Music Awards, less than a year before Cobain tragically took his own life.
Frances Bean, who was just under a year old in the photograph, is now 28 years old- one fan shared an image of the rock stars' daughter as she looks now, writing "I'm starting to feel my age to think that this is Frances all grown up".

O'Connor replied to the photograph, writing: "Oh my God! She's gorgeous!"
O'Connor herself has always been a fan of Cobain and Nirvana's music, having recorded a cover of All Apologies in the nineties.
Rememberings will be released by Penguin on 1 June.
