'Simply amazing' – Late Late viewers impressed by teen cellist who's won backing of Riverdance co-founder

TEENAGE cellist Jayden Lamcellari impressed viewers during his appearance on Friday night’s Late Late Show.

The 15-year-old has enjoyed a whirlwind 24 hours after he was first featured on Ryan Tubridy’s RTÉ radio show on Thursday.

Jayden’s mum Jane went on the show to appeal for help to fund her son's travel costs to and from London every week.

The Blanchardstown musician was awarded a scholarship to the city's Royal Academy of Music, but the €4,000 a year cost of air fares has taken its toll on his parents.

Earlier on Friday however, Riverdance co-founder John McColgan contacted Tubridy to say he would happily sponsor Jayden’s travel costs.

He is also going to help the youngster achieve a dream of playing at Carnegie Hall in New York.

And Jayden’s amazing day was complete when he performed on national television after an invite from Tubridy to appear on The Late Late Show.

Viewers were clearly impressed by the young musician…
