VICTORIAN crime series Ripper Street, filmed in Dublin, is making a return to BBC One.
Series two of the period drama will premiere on Monday 28 October at 9pm.
Created by Richard Warlow, Ripper Street is set in London’s East End in 1889 in the aftermath of the “Ripper” murders.
Tiger Aspect, who produced the show said: "Catching up with the lives and crime-solving of the three heroes of Whitechapel's H Division: Reid (Matthew Macfadyen), Drake (Jerome Flynn) and Jackson (Adam Rothenberg) is enticing enough, but what too of Long Susan (MyAnna Buring) and Rose (Charlene McKenna)?"
They added: "Excitingly, a raft of new faces will arrive on Ripper Street, amongst them a new young cop named Flight, Damien Molony (Being Human) and Inspector Jedediah Shine, Joseph Mawle (Game of Thrones).”
Irish cast members to star alongside McKenna and Molony will include Martin McCann, Charlie Murphy and Stanley Townsend.
