IRISH actress Saoirse Ronan has opened up about the time she had her first kiss, with the setting she described as pretty unusual.
The 23-year-old actress has shared information on the first time she kissed someone, with her job as an actress instructing her to kiss her co-actor before she'd even had her first clinch.
The Galway Girl star spoke to W Magazine about her first kissing interaction with someone. She revealed she was only 12 when she was on set of her first film I Could Never Be Your Woman and had to kiss for the particular scene.
Saoirse recalled the predicament she had while on set: "I was like proper prude, as well; I was not ready to kiss a boy myself."
Saoirse said she asked the director of the film, Amy Heckerling for advice as her younger self was nervous about the looming feat "I called Amy over and was like, 'Amy, come here. Can we just like discuss the logistics of this whole kissing scene?"
At the time, 12-year-old Ronan wanted all the instructions on how to kiss before attempting the scene:m "I asked her how many seconds I had to kiss this poor boy for. It was three seconds, and every one of those takes consisted of a three-second kiss—no more, no less... I suffered for the art. We did about eight takes. I was a phenomenal kisser by the end".
Saoirse stars in new film Lady Bird, which is released in Irish cinemas this weekend.
