A RARE and much coveted opportunity to meet global superstar Ed Sheeran is among a raft of items that are now up for grabs in an online auction supporting the London Irish Centre (LIC).
The ‘meet and greet’ with Sheeran, which also comes with a guitar signed by the music man himself, already has a bid of £4,950 against it.
It sits alongside items such as a personal video message from the stars of Channel 4 hit comedy Derry Girls – which currently has a bid of £500 – and a signed sketch of Mullingar musician Niall Horan by artist Shane Gillen, which also has a bid of £500.
The auction has been launched ahead of the LIC’S Charity Night In event – which kicks off this evening at 8pm and brings the best and brightest Irish celebs together for a night of music, fun and fundraising.
Niall Horan, Laura Whitmore, Imelda May, Maverick Sabre and LIC patron Dermot O'Leary are among the many taking part.
The night is designed to raise much-needed funds for the centre, which has worked tirelessly to support its most vulnerable members and those in its local community throughout the coronavirus pandemic but has suffered significant financial losses due to the cancellation of its planned fundraising events.
They have set a £100,000 fundraising target for tonight’s event and there is still plenty of time to make a bid on the auction items before settling in to watch all the action via the LIC’s Facebook or YouTube channels.
