Primary school choir from Northern Ireland wows Britain’s Got Talent judges

A PRIMARY school choir from Co. Tyrone wowed the Britain’s Got Talent judges on Saturday night’s show.

The choir from St Lawrence’s Primary School in Fintona impressed the judges with their rendition of Pure Imagination, from the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The group of 48 children, aged 8–11, won over Simon Cowell and co, as well as the audience.

The talented received four 'yeses' from the judges, but were unfortunately overlooked for a place in next week's live semi-finals.

However singing Irish priest Father Ray Kelly, described by Cowell as one of his favourite auditions ever, made it through to the next stage.

The parish priest from Oldcastle, Co. Meath, is in with a chance of performing at the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium in in November.
