THE 17th Return to Camden Town festival has just come to an end after seven wonderful days of traditional music, song and dance at a number of venues across North London.
Concerts, sessions and workshops featuring some of the finest exponents of Irish music ensured this year's festival was one of the best ever. Highlights included Breaking Trad's performance at King's Place, Altan in concert at the London Irish Centre and Leitrim Equation 4 at RADA. The Abbey Ceili Band also performed at two set dancing ceilis which attracted full houses.
The Irish Post called in to the London Irish Centre on Saturday evening as the festival was in full flow. Altan, supported by Cran put on a great performance in the McNamara Hall and the Hub bar was packed with top class musicians and music lovers for an almighty session.
