PATRICK DEMPSEY is turning native on his long trip to Ireland for a new Disney film, and we are loving every minute of it.
The Grey's Anatomy star is currently in Ireland filming the sequel to Disney's hit movie Enchanted, released in 2007.
The sequel, Disenchanted, stars Dempsey alongside Amy Adams and James Marsden and is currently filming on location in Dublin and the surrounding areas. Dempsey, who is himself part Irish, has been immersing himself in Irish culture and food since he arrived, and if his Instagram is anything to go by, he's having the time of his life.
Yesterday the actor stopped by famous Dublin's Leo Burdock takeaway, Dublin's oldest chipper which has been operating since 1913-- to give some perspective there, Ireland was still under British rule at the time.
Sharing a snap of the building, Dempsey proved he was truly turning native as he wrote 'Bleeding deadly!', a staple of Dublin slang.
The food and language isn't the only part of Irish culture Dempsey has been partaking in-- he recently shared a photograph of himself wearing a traditional Aran jumper, hand-knitted by Irish company Inis Meain.
Sharing the picture, Dempsey wrote "I love being in Ireland and I'm having so much fun working on this film"-- which is obvious judging by his Instagram account!
The animal lover has also been enjoying time in Ireland's famous countryside, havign shred multiple snaps of rolling hills, grazing sheep and lush green fields-- and he even made friends with a smiling donkey, his "trusty steed", sharing a short clip that has so far been viewed a whopping 1.2 million times.
Disenchanted is set to hit cinemas sometime in 2022, with filming wrapping up soon, but we get the impression Dempsey will feel fairly homesick when he eventually leaves the Emerald Isle!
