IT'S not rare that Graham Norton has a brilliant lineup on his Friday night show, entertaining the masses with celebrity anecdotes and Norton's quick wit.
The Irish man's ability to charm both his guests and audience translates easily through television and the constant line-up of A-list celebrities make for brilliant watching.
This week, Norton had Sarah Millican, Hugh Grant, Kelly Clarkson and Jason Mamoa on the couch but what is currently making headlines in the appearance of one Bangor man on the infamous red chair.
For those who aren't aware of the red chair process on the show, members of the audience sit on the chair and recount their most embarrassing story for the celebrities and audience to laugh at, with some stories appearing definitely more mortifying than others.
From Co. Down, Bangor man John took to the chair to recall one of the most embarrassing (and disgusting) moments of his life.
He began his tale with "I got up one morning as usual, getting myself ready to go to work. From getting out of bed and the 20 feet or so to get to the bathroom, I was in excruciating pain around the rectal region..."
This prompted quite the reaction from American singer Kelly Clarkson, but John nonetheless continued: "I did go to the doctor. Got seen straight away. He says “Right, can you remove your trousers and underwear and lie down and think happy thoughts?” So… He rummaged about and he then asked me a question. “Do you like asparagus?”, and he pulled out an asparagus tip from my, eh, anus."
The story only got worse as John confirmed: "Bizarrely, I had not eaten asparagus for months."
