WITH the festive season well and truly upon us, Tesco Ireland have released a Christmas ad which is sure to leave a lump in your throat.
The supermarket giant released #ToTheHosts featuring a series of Irish people thanking their loved ones for spending Christmas with them.
The short video features four groups of people, including a mother and son, two sister-in-laws and a little girl and her grandparents, surprising their loved ones with their 'thank you' letters read out on the announcement system in Irish Tesco stores.
"This is a letter for you, my dearest sister-in-law," one lady starts. "This will be better than any year gone before.
"Instead of Skype calls and hidden tears, we get the excitement of both living in the same country for the first Christmas ever.
"Here's to two families side by side," she adds. "My heart is swelling at the thought."
