FRIDAY NIGHT viewing sorted!
Since its addition to Netflix last year, Derry Girls has amassed thousands of new fans as people across the world binge-watched the first series (although some had to watch with subtitles in order to understand the Northern Ireland accents!).
If you are among the army of fans eagerly awaiting season 3 of the hit show, you may have noticed that Netflix has a 'New Episodes!' banner stamped across the show on their website.
Unfortunately, the entertainment gods have not suddenly dropped season 3 as a very welcome surprise during the pandemic, but the entirety of season 2 has finally been added to the popular streaming site.
Arguably even funnier than the first season, series 2 of the hit show includes Bill Clinton's historic visit to Derry, the girls making a sneaky road trip to catch Take That perform in Belfast, and the instant classic 'Blackboard scene'.
Nicola Coughlan, who plays Clare, took to Twitter to share the good news with a video captioned ' Happy Derry Girls Series 2 on Netflix Ireland and the UK Day Everyone!', and while the name is a bit too long to really catch on, we appreciate the sentiment.
In the video, she said "People have been waiting a long time for it and I hope it brings you some joy during these strange times.
"And I hope you enjoy me hanging off a cliff! ...which I did not personally enjoy, but if it makes you laugh that would make me very very happy."
