Mrs Brown’s Boys fans will be delighted to hear that the BBC will air a live episode of the hit series next year.
The show’s creator Brendan O’Carroll – who plays the much-loved Irish mammy – and the cast will kick-off the BBC’s landmark comedy season in 2016.
Along with a packed schedule that includes police drama River and Capital and the return of Luther, the line-up marks the 60th anniversary of Hancock’s Half Hour.
Mrs Brown's Boys star O'Carroll said he was “seriously delighted" with plans for a live episode.
He said: "When I heard the BBC were letting us go fully live I thought, they've lost their minds."
O’Carroll and his co-stars are familiar with live performances, with the popular comedy series beginning as a live show.
“As Mrs Brown's Boys’ started in the theatre it gives us a chance to show the TV audience LIVE what we really do. Put the kids to bed early!” he added.
In July, The Irish Post exclusively reported a Mrs Brown’s Boys proposal, when fan Andrew (Andy) Jones proposed to his girlfriend Katie Gilbranch at one of the show's live performances at London’s O2 Arena.
Last year a film adaptation of the show Mrs Brown D’Movie was released in cinemas.
