Mrs Brown's Boys star for Strictly Come Dancing line-up

MRS Brown’s Boys star Jenny Gibney could be joining the line-up for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, it has been reported.

The wife of Brendan O’Carroll, who plays his character Agnes Brown’s daughter Cathy in the hit comedy series, is believed to be keen on participating in the long-running Saturday night flagship show.

O’Carroll himself would be unlikely to ever appear on a reality TV show, according to a source close to the family, but taking part in Strictly Come Dancing would be Jenny’s ‘guilty pleasure.’

Other celebrities speculated to be taking to the dancefloor include: rugby star and Kelly Brook’s ex Thom Evans, former Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack, BBC radio DJ Greg James and soap star Michelle Collins.

An Irish face who will definitely be joining the show after three years as a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars in the US is Tristan MacManus, who previously partnered Gladys Knight and Pamela Anderson.

The Co Wicklow native has competed around Europe and also appeared in stage shows including Dirty Dancing and Burn The Floor.

This year’s Strictly Come Dancing will be the first series without host by Bruce Forsyth, and will instead be fronted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

Jenny will be performing in Mrs Brown’s Boys UK and Ireland stage show How Now Mrs Brown Cow in 2015.
