NEIGHBOURS fans were left stunned when they heard actress Jackie Woodburn speaking with an Irish accent on This Morning.
The actress – who has played iconic character Susan Kennedy since 1994 – opened up to hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about growing up in Ireland.
As the interview came to an end, Ruth pointed out that she had noticed a hint of the Irish brogue in Jackie’s voice.
“Do you know what’s interesting? I noticed a little bit of an Irish accent coming out there,” Ruth said.
"Is that because you’ve been talking to Eamonn?"

However, Jackie explained that it had nothing to do with Eamonn as she revealed that she was raised in Carrickfergus and Whitehead and has family in other parts of Ireland.
“I always have it. I get rid of it for Susan. I was talking to my cousin Yvonne who lives in Belfast and so it’s in my head," she explained.
“And then of course when I hear Eamonn’s lovely voice.”

"Completely mind blown that Susan Kennedy is Irish!” said an equally astonished viewer.
Eamonn told viewers: “When she walked in the first thing she said was, ‘What about you?’”
Jackie’s family emigrated to Australia when she was just three-years-old.
Her father, Jim Woodburne, was a police officer in Northern Ireland before the move.
