THE third season of Chris O'Dowd's comedy series Moone Boy will begin filming next week in Boyle, Co Roscommon.
O'Dowd will direct one of the episodes in the third series with the shoot scheduled to get underway next Monday (May 22) for eight weeks.
Speaking to IFTN, the show's producer Paul Donovan said that the new series would also feature "a few new cameo roles" in season three but that he could not reveal them at present, as there are "a few names that will be nailed down over the next week".
Season two of Moone Boy, which is set during Ireland's Italia '90 odyssey, will be shown on Sky One in the Autumn.
Of season three, Donovan added: "There are a few developments at the end of season two that are picked up on in season three, so I think the trick is to tune into series two and get ready for the next one."
