‘I am grateful for all the love’ – Luke Perry’s daughter breaks silence with emotional message

LUKE PERRY’S daughter Sophie has broken her silence on social media following the sad death of her father, aged 52.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star passed away just days after suffering a massive stroke.

Perry’s death was met with an outpouring of emotion online with co-stars past and present paying tribute to the Riverdale actor.

Taking to Instagram, Sophie Perry revealed she had been in Malawi, Africa when she was first told that her father had suffered a stroke.

She was able to fly back in time to be at his bedside in a Los Angeles hospital as he quietly passed away, surrounded by his close friends. friends and family.

Posting an image of her together with her late father, Sophie wrote: “A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast.

“I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family, And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support.”

The 18-year-old, who is Perry’s daughter from his marriage to Rachel Sharp, told her followers she is “grateful for all the love” following her Perry’s death.

“I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I.”

“I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye.

“So bare with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly.”

Perry’s 90210 co-star, Irish-American actress Shannen Doherty also took to Instagram to pay her respects to the actor’s legacy and the family he leaves behind.

“Yesterday morning I got a phone call that devastated me. I’m struggling with this loss and am having a hard time with my thoughts,” she wrote alongside a picture of her and Perry.

“But, my heart goes out to his family and friends who were blessed by his light in their (and mine) lives. Processing this is impossible right now.”
