LIAM NEESON and Brendan Gleeson both star in the upcoming Netflix film 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs'.
Two of Ireland's most successful acting exports join a star-studded cast for the much-anticipated film, which is based on anthology of six short films that take place in 19th-century post Civil War era during the settling of the Old West.
Gleeson has recently earned rave reviews for his role in the television series Mr Mercedes, while Neeson's most recent big screen appearance came as an ex-cop who is caught up in a criminal conspiracy during his daily commute home.
The movie also stars James Franco, Tim Blake Nelson, Tom Waits, Zoe Kazan and Stephen Root.
The incomparable Coen Brothers are the brains behind the film, and parts of the film were shot in the same locations used for No Country For Old Men.
That film won the brothers the Oscars for best picture, best director, and best adapted screenplay, while another of their western style flicks, “True Grit” earned an impressive 10 Oscar nominations in 2011, including best picture.
Its due for release on Netflix UK and Ireland on Friday 16 November.
It looks like an old-fashioned Western with a comedic twist, and we can't wait to see it!
