AFTER seven years at MTV News, Wicklow's Laura Whitmore is hanging up her microphone.
The 29-year-old made the statement via her Instagram page, where she posted a picture of her first day on the job back in 2008.
“It was my very first telly job and I can’t thank MTV enough for taking the chance on me,” she said. “However, due to some upcoming projects I can no longer commit.”
Whitmore will still have a presence on the channel that gave her her first break, presenting MTV Asks artist specials.
The Bray TV journalist and fashionista who lives in London confirmed she is working on some “exciting projects” over the next nine months.
