The Late Late Show open appeal for audience members on their Valentine's Day special

RYAN TUBRIDY and his crew have started their annual search for singletons to appear on their Valentine's Day episode of The Late Late Show.

Valentine's Day is an important day of the year, whether it be for couples celebrating years together, newlyweds still in the honeymoon period or singletons hoping they find someone special on the biggest love-filled day of the year.

One person hoping to matchmake for a few single souls is Ryan Tubridy, with the Valentine's Day special of the Late Late going down a treat every year with viewers and audience members alike.

The RTÉ Twitter account tweeted that the show were taking applications from people hoping to find love on the show, whether that be participating in games on stage or sitting in the rows.

Their call for Late Late fans reads: "The Late Late Valentine's Singles Special is back! If you are looking for love, single and ready to mingle, then why not try something new this St Valentine's..."

They asked that any potential applicants simply be single, over the age of 18 and ready for fun and games.

For those of us who are single and too afraid to take the plunge, the Valentine's edition of the show always makes for extremely entertaining television at least, perhaps a thought to comfort those who are alone this 2018.

If you perhaps want a taste of what could be to come should you apply for the show, the clip below shows what's in store for some lucky Irish singletons.
