Kim Kardashian reveals she is '29% Irish'

KIM KARDASHIAN has revealed she is nearly a third Irish.

However, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s claims of Irish ancestry may want to be taken with a generous dollop of salt. Or, better yet, a spadeful.

Kardashian highlighted her links to the Emerald Isle on Twitter while sharing an advert for the DNA Ancestry app Gradient.

Gradient claims to be able to chart your origins using only a picture of your face.

According to a snap shared by Mrs Kanye West, she is not only 47% Armenian but also 29% Irish.

Not only that, the app also claims Kardashian has both British (20%) and Spanish (4%) ancestry.

Well, that’s what one picture of the reality star says.

Another claims Kim is actually only an estimated 15% Irish, so there are definitely some question marks over the technology.

Either way, all the signs point towards Kardashian being at least partly Irish – and it’s not the first time this has been claimed.

Daily Record journalist Craig Williams previously did a little digging into the Kardashian clan’s genealogy and discovered the family are distant relatives of Robert Roy MacGregor, or Rob Roy.

The Scottish rebel was famous for his role in the Jacobite rising of 1689 and famously took part in the Battle of Glen Shiel in 1719.

What’s also significant about the Kardashians’ link to Robert Roy MacGregor is the fact that the Scottish folk hero is also an ancestor of Conor McGregor.

The link means both Kardashian and McGregor are related to the first King of the Scots, Kenneth MacAlpin – Rob Roy’s father.
