HOLLYWOOD star Johnny Depp has reportedly asked The Pogues’ frontman Shane MacGowan to help him find a London pub he can turn into a live music venue.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor asked his old friend MacGowan for advice in his search for a venue in the Islington and Shepherd’s Bush area, according to The Sun.
"It’ll be the kind of place for up-and-coming bands and occasionally a big name act will do a low-key gig," the newspaper reported.
“He loves jamming with Shane and Shane knows London, so has been helping him when it comes to potential venues.”
Depp has always had an interest in music having formed a short-lived alternative rock band called P in 1993.
The 50-year-old actor also joined MacGowan on the singer’s first solo album, The Snake, on the track That Woman’s Got Me Drinking.
They performed the track together on Top of The Pops in 1994, and in the video above Depp appears beside MacGowan in an orange shirt strumming away at his guitar.
In 2012 the pair recorded a version of The Leaving Of Liverpool for a compilation CD.
Depp has also previously collaberated with British band Oasis and Marilyn Manson.
