Jack O’Connell to star in new Bonnie and Clyde movie with Chloë Grace Moretz

ACTOR Jack O’Connell is being tipped to star in a new movie telling the ‘untold’ story of infamous outlaws Bonnie and Clyde.

The actor, whose father hails from Co. Kerry, has previously won acclaim for his roles in ’71, Unbroken and Starred Up.

Chloë Grace Moretz is also being lined up for Love Is A Gun, which is set to be directed by Kiké Maillo.

The movie will be based on Jeff Guinn’s book, Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde.

“We are excited to reintroduce the iconic story of Bonnie and Clyde,” the producers told Variety.

“Their story remains ubiquitous in popular culture across the globe, yet few in this generation know the details of their intimate love affair and the circumstances that led to their notorious crime spree that captured the imagination of the world in their time.

“Kike, Chloë and Jack are completely in sync about the character-driven approach we will be taking, and we feel lucky to have a creative team of this high calibre leading us forward.”

The story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow was previously made for the big screen in 1967.

Bonnie and Clyde, starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty, was nominated for 10 Oscars.
