IRELAND'S win against Italy in the EURO 2016 Championship last night, June 22, has elicited some wonderful responses from Irish football fans including the Irish President.
As Robbie Brady scored the only match of the game, Ireland's President Michael D. Higgins can be seen jumping up and down with joy in the stands.
His mood matched that of many of the Irish football supporters at the stadium, who were ecstatic when the winning header hit the back of the net.
At full time, the score was Ireland 1 Italy 0, a result that will see Ireland go through to the knock-out stages of the Euro 2016 tournament.
It was a historic victory for Ireland as it was the first time the national team has qualified for the knock-out stages of the tournament.
Ireland will face France in Lyon this Sunday, June 26, at 2pm.
