AMERICAN judge Nicole Scherzinger was in the doghouse with many viewers following last night's offering of X Factor.
The singer is known for her enthusiasm and over the top reactions on the show but last night, her attempts at entertaining the crowds of audience viewers and indeed, viewers at home fell flat on its face.
Following the performance of Irish duo, Sean and Conor Price, Nicole made quite the faux pas in addressing the two young singers.
The 15-year-old and 18-year-old siblings who are currently making a serious splash on British reality show and singing competition, The X Factor were receiving the judge's critiques of their own personalised version of George Michael's Freedom.
Nicole made a slight blunder when in trying to compliment the lads, she confused their nationality as being Scottish, which only outraged Irish viewers watching the two brothers perform from their sitting rooms.
Nicole was in awe of the two siblings when she said: "Wow, it looks like we’ve got the whole of Scotland in the house tonight".
She quickly corrected herself in saying "I mean...Ireland"... but the slip of tongue she made wasn't taken lightly by the proud Irish people watching their weekly fix of the reality TV competition.
Fans of Sean and Conor took to Twitter to make sure their true nationalities weren't forgotten anytime soon.
