This Irish lad went to extraordinary lengths to get a pint in an Irish pub in Australia

AN Irishman in Australia has gone viral after he went to extraordinary lengths to get a pint in Australia.

The pub-goer, Ruairí Brannigan from Northern Ireland, found a way around the pub's 'no thongs after 9pm' rule.

An Sibin Irish pub in Perth, western Australia posted the picture of Ruairí as he waited at the bar for his pint last Sunday - wearing a pair women's shoes.

According to the pub, he had to change his thongs, or flip flops, for shoes to get into the bar...nd came up with an ingenious solution.

In order to make it in time for the 'Sunday Sesh', Ruairí had to buy the last shoes available - a pair of women's flats from a convenience shop on the same street as the pub.
