Irish front line workers wanted to star in new season of hit TV show

ONE OF the biggest shows in Ireland is looking for front line staff to star in the new season.

Gogglebox Ireland has issued a call to the people who kept the country running during the height of the coronavirus pandemic to give the public a glimpse into their everyday lives and opinions.

Part of the reason for the specific casting call is because those on the front line know better than anyone what goes on behind the scenes shown on the news each day, and can help the audience better understand both the frustrations and rewards of life as an essential worker.

Announcing the call for new Gogglebox stars, David Noble of Kite Entertainment said:

"Things might look and feel a lot different as we head out into the big bad world these days, but despite everything we've gone through there's still nowhere funnier than an Irish living room.

"Nobody is better placed to give us a sense of what's going on every week than the country's incredible front lines staff so we'd love to see some telly-loving Guards or nurses join all our favourite households to give the country a much-needed weekly pick me up from the daily madness that 2020 has thrown at us!"

The show is also looking for a hilarious father-son duo to join the televised households-- so if you know two people who share sarcastic comments and banter when you're trying to watch TV in peace, you should get in touch.

Front line workers and father-son duos who are interested in taking part can apply by emailing [email protected] with a description of the people in your gang, where in Ireland you're based, what you like to watch together and a photo of you all together if possible.

Best of luck...
