Irish fan's reaction to first Irish goal of the Euros is brilliantly over-the-top

THOMAS HUGHES is what you could call a loyal supporter of the Irish football team.

The father of two was glued to Ireland's opening match against Sweden at Euro 2016 and went wild when Ireland scored the first goal, scooping up his son Gavin and jumping around as if he won the Lottery.

His wife April, filmed his reaction to the spectacular Wes Hoollahan goal against Sweden on Monday.

Hughes was born in Dublin, but he and his family have been settled in Nottingham four years ago.

I am big Irish fan. I follow them everywhere and am going to France next week", Hughes tells The Irish Post.
My wife recorded the video and I did not know she was doing it, my son just happened to be walking around the sitting room when we scored.

His wife April posted the video clip to Facebook, writing: "Meet my husband Tom Hughes. He loves Ireland and football. How will we cope with work two more weeks of this (anyone selling tickets for the euros help a wife out)

Ireland face their next Group E opponents Belguim on Saturday, but if  Thomas is in France by then, the Hughes house will no doubt be a quieter place without him.

Watch his reaction below:
