SIMON DELANEY is set to return to the cobbles of Manchester once more.
The Dublin actor previously appeared on ITV's Coronation Street earlier this year as an Irish jewellery salesman called Phil.
The character he played on the soap sparked a huge social media reaction, with plenty of viewers voicing their love for the new face on the street
Speaking to the Irish Sun, the 47-year-old actor and writer shared news of talks he was having with the show's producers, wherein Simon would be potentially returning to the show on a regular basis.
"There is now talk of Phil coming back but I have no idea if it would be for six weeks or six months.
"The feedback was great, the guy was even trending. I know the producers and the writers take notice of things like that so we will have to see how it goes.
"To play a character like that was brilliant, so I’d love to do it again."
