Ireland’s Got Talent nine-year-old magician Aidan McCann leaves Ellen DeGeneres spellbound

IRELAND’S GOT Talent star Aidan McCann wowed audiences during a spellbinding appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show in the US.

The nine-year-old self-taught magician performed a series of impressive tricks for The Ellen Show audience involving everything from a deck of cards to a blank CD.

Ellen was full of praise for the Co Kildare performer too, telling the youngster he was great and tipping him for plenty more success in the future.

Aidan, to his credit, remained as modest as ever, explaining that while he’d spent much of the past four years practising his craft, some tricks were still beyond him.

"The one annoying thing is is there's like just some really easy techniques that I can't do because I have small hands,” he said.

The comedian and host was keen to assure Aidan that wouldn’t always be the case.

Speaking on the show, Aidan explained how thrilled he was to be in Los Angeles and that he had already visited the Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame.

The best was yet to come though.

Moments later he received the surprise of his life after meeting Canadian-American magican and personal hero Shin Lim.

It was an emotional moment with the America’s Got Talent winner and fellow magician heaping praise on Aidan for his “incredible” tricks.

Shin went on to invite Aidan to be a guest at one of his upcoming Las Vegas shows.

Aidan’s response was simple but brilliant: "Oh. My. God."
