‘I think I… like Bono’ – BBC viewers realised they actually like U2 after last night’s documentary

U2 are certainly no strangers to criticism, but it’s fair to say Bono and the boys went down a storm on BBC One last night.

The band played their hearts out on U2 at the BBC, the latest in a new series which has already showcased stars such as Adele, Michael Buble, Harry Styles and Sam Smith.

The north Dubliners' appearance on the show comes off the back of the release of their latest album, Songs of Experience, from which a number of new songs were performed live at Abbey Road studios.

There was a huge response to the show on social media with the vast majority of viewers praising U2’s performance and longevity.

Most of the ire was actually directed at presenter Cat Deeley, who interviewed the band between songs.

Did you catch U2 at the BBC last night? What did you make of the lads?
