THE first image of Irish actors Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy has been released from the set of upcoming World War II movie Anthropoid.
They have paired up to take on the roles of two Czechoslovakian soldiers in the wartime thriller.
Dornan plays Jan Kubis and Murphy’s character is Josef Gabcik – who set out to kill “the Butcher of Prague” Reinhard Heydrich.
The film, based on a true story, is currently shooting in the Czech Republic.
Strangely, the pair won’t be the only Irish actors to star in a film about Heydrich next year – as second generation Irishman Jack O’Connell and Wicklow man Jack Reynor will both hit screens for the film adaption of HHhH in 2016.
While both films focus on the Butcher of Prague, they will deal with them in different ways.
Anthropoid will be released on Netflix next year.
