DARK, foreboding, yet strangely beautiful – it’s the first promotional picture for the EastEnders spin-off series which will follow Kat and Alfie Moon as they search for Kat’s long-lost Irish son.
Redwater will follow Jessie Wallace’s character in Ireland as she hunts down the son she was forced to give up aged 14.
Former EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has now shared a promotional picture of the stars in a quintessentially Irish setting.
Executive producer Dominic posted the first official image from the six-part series on Twitter along with the caption: "#Redwater is coming... #May @BBCOne #EastEnders."

The former landlord and landlady of the Queen Vic look like they mean business as they are pictured alongside three mystery characters.
The drama’s exciting cast contains an array of Irish acting talent including Fionnula Flanagan, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Stephen Hogan and Stanley Townsend.

Picture: BBCThe show will see Kat and Alfie arrive in a fictional seaside village - filming took place in Dunmore East, Co. Waterford last year - looking for answers before they quickly find themselves drawn into a complicated series of shadowy events.
Recently teasing the show, Shane Richie, who first played Alfie in 2002, said that the show was “like Broadchurch”.
“It’s a dark thriller we never really referenced before on EastEnders. I hope EastEnders fans will watch it, and non-fans give it a chance it cause it’s a good thriller,” he told the Irish Daily Star.
Speaking after the six-part series was announced, Danish Director Jesper Nielsen said: "We have a really important and fantastic story to tell.
“It’s about how one woman's search for a lost child opens Pandora’s box; revealing the terrible lies and secrets in the little village of Redwater.
"It's a story about how the strong bonds of love in a family can hold everything together, and yet at the same time - destroy everything.”
Redwater will air on BBC One next month.
