Fassbender and Gleeson to film in English countryside this summer

MICHAEL Fassbender will be heading to the English countryside this summer with fellow Irish actors Brendan Gleeson and Killian Scott to shoot their new gangster movie Tresspass Against Us.

Gloucestershire in the South West of England will provide the setting for British director Adam Smith’s film debut.

Lyndsey Marshal, Rory Kinnear and Sean Harris will also star alongside Fassbender, Gleeson and Scott in the heist film, written by Alastair Siddons.

The story follows three generations of the Cutler family who lead a criminal lifestyle in the English countryside. They hunt hares, ram-raid homes and tease the police.

When Chad (Fassbender) is finally forced to face up to the law he is torn between obeying his archaic father (Gleeson) and doing what is best for his children.

Smith has previously directed for television, including episodes of Doctor Who and Skins, as well as feature documentary The Chemical Brothers: Don’t Think. The band will be writing and performing an original score for Trespass Against Us.

The feature will be executive produced by Film4 and Lionsgate.
