Dornan reveals he is 'scarred' from playing a serial killer in BBC's The Fall

JAMIE Dornan has revealed that he has been left scarred by playing serial killer Paul Spector in the hit BBC Two series The Fall.

The Belfast-set drama follows the story of a husband and father who is a psychopath and serial killer, but portrays himself to be socially competent on the surface.

Speaking at the launch of the second season of The Fall, in which he co-stars alongside Gillian Anderson who plays DSI Stella Gibson, Dornan said: “You can’t fail to be left slightly scarred by inhabiting someone like that for two seasons.

“I do carry elements of him with me in a worrying way. I find him relatable … I have a deep understanding of him and why he is why he is.

“He had such distaste for everything. You do carry some of that anger and hatred in you a little bit, especially towards the end of a few months playing him.”
