THE first three artists have been announced for Other Voices London, which is set to take place in the Wilton’s Music Hall over April 5-7.
First up on April 5 is 2013 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award nominee Laura Mvula, who releases her highly anticipated debut album Sing To The Moon this week (March 4).
Dexys play the following night on April 6, after their successful UK tour of recent release One Day I’m Going To Soar. Expect a mix of their new work and some old favourites.
Rounding off the weekend on April 7 will be American songwriter, arranger and producer Matthew E. White. The leader of avant-garde jazz band Fight The Big Bull and former member of rock outfit The Great White Jenkins, White released his debut album The Big Inner last August.
The Banter Salon will also feature in London, following its’ success in Dingle and Derry.
Other Voices London will be streamed live on the internet and also to various venues around the city, with free admission to all streaming locations.
Tickets to the music weekender are free and are allocated through prize draws via the Barbican Facebook page.
