Father of fashion Paul Costelloe has invaded the world’s highest fashion show.
This month the Dublin-born designer, who pulled out of London Fashion Week after 21 years, represented Britain in the first ever international fashion phenomenon on the 58 metre long SkyBridge of the world’s tallest twin structure, the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The event was organised by model Jessica Minh Anh and J Model Management.
“I feel honoured to have been a part of history on the landmark bridge and have brought my womenswear collection to Asia,” Costelloe said. “I have been looking into this market and we are so far inspired.”
The designer, who shot to fame dressing Princess Diana and was given the high-profile 9am 'curtain raiser' opening show at London Fashion Week for the last 10 years, had previously showcased his latest collections in two high profile fashion shows organised by J Model Management – at London’s Savoy hotel and Tower Bridge.
The J Spring Fashion Show, at the height of 175 metres above street level, showcased 10 other spectacular collections from Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Georgia, Australia, US, Hong Kong, China, India, and Malaysia.
Each model walked a total of five kilometres during the one-hour show, which was choreographed by international movement director K.Knight who is known for his work with MTV, Matthew Williamson and Beyoncé.
The show is part of a series of four high-end fashion shows at the world's most outstanding venues in 2012 hosted by J Model Management.
