ANDREW Maxwell, Neil Delamere, Barry Murphy and PJ Gallagher are just a few of the comedic acts who have been named in the line-up for this year’s London Irish Comedy Festival.
The October 11-13 festival will take place at the London Irish Centre in Camden, North London and aims to 'showcase the diversity of established and emerging Irish comedic talent' based in Ireland and Britain.
Names also on the bill include So You Think You're Funny award-winner Aisling Bea, Abandoman and stars of Irish television David McSavage, Jarlath Regan and John Colleary.
Irish Post columnist Maeve Higgins will also perform, while new acts to the festival include musical comedy performer Paddy Cullivan, who is also RTE’s The Late Late Show’s house band leader, and London based Grainne Maguire.
This year there will be a family-friendly show, ‘Captain Gingerbeard’, and Jarlath Regan presents a live recording of his podcast An Irishman Abroad.
Regan will also host ‘Stand Up and Answers’ which is a mixture of a stand-up show and table quiz.
Maria Schweppe, co-founder and artistic director of the London Irish Comedy Festival, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to bring you the Festival and are very excited about our quality line-up.
“As usual a percentage of the profits from the Festival goes to support the invaluable work of Festival co-founders the London Irish Centre.”
The Irish Post will renew its position as the exclusive media partner for this year’s three day event – which is now in its second year.

Gary Dunne, director of arts at the London Irish Centre, added that the centre is "delighted" to host the event, adding that he was looking forward to "a weekend of top quality craic".
