The delighted daddy announced the little boy as "a very welcome ray of light", coming just weeks after the death of his older brother Father Fr Dermott Donnelly.
The 46-year-old TV presenter, best known as one half of presenting duo Ant and Dec, shared the news via the pair's joint social media accounts.
He revealed the baby has been named Jack Anthony Alphonsus, with the middle name being that of his older brother who passed away following a short illness a few weeks ago.
