DAMIEN Rice is set to release his first album in more than eight years with a November 3 release date pencilled in.
The long-awaited album looks set to be entitled My Favourite Faded Fantasy after the Kildare singer posted a track-listing on Twitter last night and an Amazon pre-order page also appeared online.
While Amazon is listing the album as containing eight tracks, Rice's image depicts the names of 10 tracks. They are:
- Camarillas
- Colour Me In
- I Don't Want To Change You
- It Takes A Lot To Know A Man
- Long Long Way
- Mustard Seeds
- My Favourite Faded Fantasy
- The Box
- The Greatest Bastard
- Trusty And True
The additional two songs that Rice lists online are Camarillas and Mustard Seeds.

Although no confirmation has been given, the first single looks likely to be The Greatest Bastard after George Ergatoudis, Head of Music at BBC Radio 1, posted the following tweet yesterday:
It's not every day that I hear a new song that totally floors me. Today was one. Just wait till u hear The Greatest Bastard by @DamienRice

Rice’s last record, 9, was released in 2006 and was the follow-up to his acclaimed debut, O, which sold two million copies.
Last May, Rice performed a sell-out two-and-a-half hour gig in Dublin venue Whelan's, his first full Irish show since supporting Leonard Cohen in Kilmainham, Dublin, in June 2008.
