THE Cranberries have released the first single from their final album, with vocals recorded by Dolores O'Riordan before her death exactly one year ago.
The Limerick native tragically drowned in the bath of a London hotel on January 15, 2018, and her untimely death aged just 46 shocked music fans around the world.
The single 'All Over Now' was shared online by bandmates Noel Hogan, Mike Hogan and Fergal Lawlor on Tuesday to mark the anniversary.
It is one of 11 songs to feature on the upcoming album 'In The End', which the band decided to complete in March last year to honour the frontwoman's memory.
O'Riordan reportedly finished recording demo takes of her vocals on the tracks just 15 days before her tragic passing.
The band said they hoped sharing the song would be a meaningful way to remember her.
Helmed by longtime producer Stephen Street (Blur, the Smiths), the album is scheduled for release via BMG on April 26.
The melancholic LP has been described as "a strong goodbye from the band to their fans, a fitting tribute to their bandmate and friend and, most importantly, a collection of powerful songs that can take their rightful place with The Cranberries’ previous six records".
Recalling the process of recording the album, The Cranberries said it had been a "very painful process".
They wrote on Facebook: "We remembered how Dolores had been so energised by the prospect of making this record and getting back out on the road to play the songs live, and realised that the most meaningful thing to do was to finish the album we had started with her.
"We felt that this is what she would want. We spoke with Dolores' family and they agreed."
Meanwhile, Dolores' mother Eileen added: "I can’t think of a more fitting way to commemorate the first anniversary of Dolores’ passing and to celebrate her life than to announce to the world the release of her final album with the band."
