Christine Bleakley plans Irish Christmas for Frank Lampard's girls

TV PRESENTER Christine Bleakley is planning to recreate an 'Irish Christmas'  for her fiancé Frank Lampard and his two daughters.

The 34-year-old TV star has spoken of her excitement ahead of next week and reflected on the happy Christmas memories from her childhood.

"What makes my day is being able to spoil my parents and get them a nice present," she said.

"I have always had such lovely Christmas memories and I am always trying to recreate that for Frank's girls as best as I can."

However, being engaged to a the England and Chelsea star does often mean that celebrations on Christmas Day are short-lived as he prepares for Chelsea's Boxing Day fixture.

"Frank is away at a hotel on Christmas night and again on Boxing Day," she explains.

Chelsea host Swansea for the Boxing Day fixture, so the star couple will not be apart for long as the former Daybreak presenter admits that she attends “every Chelsea home game when [she’s] not working.”

“I love getting a burger from a stand and then adding ketchup from a dirty bottle,” she added.

The Dancing on Ice co-host's understanding of football has transformed since meeting her soon-to-be-husband. She confesses that in the past “knowing who David Beckham was was the extent of my knowledge.”

Bleakley has not always been accustomed to the WAG lifestyle that requires her to support her other half from the stands; she previously studied politics at university in Belfast.

“Coming from Northern Ireland you’re aware of what politics does to your everyday life,” she said.

“You grow up realising that the people you vote for makes a difference.”

The gorgeous brunette grew up along the coast of North Antrim and holds high regard for her “stunning” homeland.

“I go back as much as I can, my family and friends are still back home.

“My younger sister Nicola is the voice of reason in my life. We got to our late teens and became more like mates than sisters. I talk to her every single day.

“I also miss my two proper hardcore best mates from back home in Belfast.”

The festive period will be a busy one, not only because all of Bleakley’s family are potentially staying with the couple at their London home, she is also helping to host the third annual Text Santa fundraising event on Friday night.

She will be joined by Paddy McGuinness to co-host sections of the celebrity-packed evening.

This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield and Ant and Dec will also feature in the charity event.

"Text Santa has a lovely new feel to it. It is fresh and everyone is really excited," she said.

"It's about having fun but it's also about rising money for great causes. I am particularly delighted that Text Santa are supporting the elderly charities as it is such an important time of the year.”
