A film about the Maze prison escape of 1983 has reached Netflix and people are raving about it.
Starring Tom Vaughan-Lawlor of Love Hate and Avengers: Infinity War, Maze tells the story of the 1983 breakout of 38 IRA prisoners from HMP Maze in Northern Ireland.
We spoke to the Dublin actor about the film several months ago, and you can read that interview here.
Vaughan-Lawlor plays Larry Marley, the chief architect of the escape.
His plans are threatened by the steely prison warden Gordon Close, who is played by Barry Ward.
Born on opposite sides of Northern Ireland’s political divide, Larry and Gordon have an immediate dislike of one another, and Larry intends to use and manipulate Gordon in order to get closer to his goal of breaking out.
It's a nail-biting drama in which an unlikely relationship is forged between two enemies that will have far reaching consequences for the both of them.
It's well worth the watch. Check out the trailer below and see for yourself!
