Brendan O'Carroll yet to see big screen version of Mrs Brown's Boys

BRENDAN O’Carroll has revealed that he has yet to see the big screen version of Mrs Brown’s Boys, despite the film’s release next week.

The comedian admitted that he wants to enjoy the movie’s debut in the cinema alongside the audience.

“I haven’t seen the movie yet,” he told independent.ie.

“I will see it for the first time in the cinema and get the same sense the audience will... with my popcorn.

“I’m excited, and scared,” he added.

“Hopefully we haven’t let the audience down, we want to keep it as true to the audience as possible.”

O'Carroll said his success as Mrs Brown and the hit TV series Mrs Brown’s Boys is ‘flattering’.

“When you’re a father all you want is to make your kids proud,” he said.

“I’m just sorry my mother never got to see any of this – the idea that her son would have an exhibition where he talks about his TV series and his books, it’s a pity she’s not here to see it.”

O'Carroll is set to appear on the Graham Norton Show alongside singer Cheryl Cole, actor Don Johnson and comedian John Bishop on the BBC One show on Friday, 20 June.
