BOB Geldof’s reformed Boomtown Rats are to embark on an extensive UK tour this October and November.
The tour – dubbed Ratlife – will see the punk outfit visit a host of towns they say they missed out on during their 1970s heyday.
The band formed in Dublin in 1975, with Bob Geldof stating that they have lost none of their appetite for playing live.
“It's weird,” he said after the Rats festival comeback at the Isle of Wright festival last year, “I'd forgotten how powerful a band The Rats are!”
Geldof is back on the road after a tragic number of months that saw the shock death of his daughter Peaches in April.
Peaches – whose death was heroin-related - has a grave correlation with her mother Paula Yates heroin overdose.
