A PARTICULARLY impatient billy goat wanted to beat the Christmas rush in a Northern Irish supermarket.
Early morning shoppers and staff had to run for cover as the goat ran amok in the forecourt of the store in Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim.
The bizarre moment was captured by Eurospar manager Jonathan Smyth who said the goat, which lives in a garden across the the road form the shop, was known to be "usually friendly".
But on this occasion it was more billy goat gruff when it ran at customers, butted cars and shop windows, before trying to jump on cars parked in front of the store.
"I heard knocking on the door and ignored it, then when I went to have a look I couldn't believe it," Mr Smyth said. "By the time I called the police the farmer took it by the horns and got rid of it."
