A NEW store due to open in Co. Mayo tomorrow is hoping to attract couples to their launch event with the promise of a free pint for the men.
In a bid to offer something special for the men, who are often left holding the bags while their partners tackle the aisles, the Mr Price store in Swinford will be offering a cool, crisp pint to help ease the experience.
"Let herself grab a bargain while you grab a free pint," said Marketing Manager Laura Blighe of the offer, which is targeted at the men "left holding the bags while the other half spends the hard-earned cash."

Including this week’s Mayo opening, there are now 41 Mr Price stores located across Ireland.
The brand works on a business model where it sells brand name products at 40 per cent to 70 per cent discounts.
The new store employs 22 members of staff.
Tomorrow they will be handing out beer tickets to male customers who "have the missus in tow" after 5pm, which can be used towards a free pint at local pub Campbell's.
Ms Blighe continued: "Any men in with the missus on Thursday evening left holding the bags can have a pint on us! We’re open late until 10pm so come toast our newest store while the other half spends the hard-earned cash!"
